Dear Colleagues and Friends,

the Organizing and Steering Committees of Metamaterials’ 2020 are carefully monitoring the situation due to the Coronavirus disease pandemic. Please know that health and safety of our participants are our first priority. We are aware of the unprecedented challenges we have to take and are actively monitoring the official travel advisories and public health guidelines issued through the official channels of the World Health Organization and the US health agencies.

The Metamaterials Congress is still 6 months away. At this time, it is not possible to predict how things may evolve and if the Congress can be held regularly next September. However, we would like to reassure you about the two following points:

– We are evaluating alternative solutions based on remote presentations if the situation will not allow holding the Conference in New York. We will keep you informed about any future decision, as soon as it is taken. – The paper submission deadline has been extended to the April 26, 2020 to give authors more time to prepare a contribution .

We would like to send you our best wishes in this difficult time. Metamaterials’ 2020 Organizers.

The Fourteenth International Congress on Artificial Materials for Novel Wave Phenomena – Metamaterials 2020 , will comprise a 4-day Conference ( 28 September – October 1 ), and a 2-day Doctoral School ( 2 – 3 October ). Co-organized by the METAMORPHOSE VI AISBL ( https:// ) and the The City University of New York (CUNY) , this Congress follows the success of Metamaterials 2007-2019 and continues the traditions of the highly successful series of International Conferences on Complex Media and Metamaterials ( Bianisotropics ) and Rome International Workshops on Metamaterials and Special Materials for Electromagnetic Applications and Telecommunications . The Congress will provide a unique topical forum to share the latest results of the metamaterials research. It will bring together the engineering, physics, applied mathematics and material science communities working on artificial materials and their applications in electromagnetism/optics, acoustics/mechanics, transport, and multi-physics.
